Aftercare Questions

1.       How do I clean the car after GEN-3 Glasscoat has been applied?

Just use a mild shampoo to remove any dirt and grime. If you use a car wash just ensure it is a soft brush version and well maintained. Only have the cheapest non-wax cycle- save your money!

2.       Can I wax the car?

The car can be waxed using a non-abrasive wax but this is not recommended, as it will mask the performance of the Glasscoat protective layer. An abrasive wax product will gradually erode the Glasscoat protection therefore is not recommended at all and will invalidate the guarantee.

3.       Will the GEN-3 Glasscoat layer blister or crack?

Not if fitted correctly, the GEN-3 Glasscoat protection bonds to the paintwork to form an invisible thin but tough coating.

4.       Will stone chips and badly maintained car washes scratch the GEN-3 Glasscoat?

Yes, such mechanical damage or neglect will also invalidate the guarantee.

5.       Will GEN-3 Glasscoat work on alloy wheels, do you recommend an aftermarket alloy wheel cleaner?

On standard lacquer finish wheels yes it will. Most alloy wheel cleaners are very aggressive and contain chemicals designed to remove brake dust baked on, regular cleaning of your alloys using GEN-3 Glasscoat Ceramic Dry-clean or Paint and Alloy Cleaner will prevent the build-up of brake dust and do not contain aggressive chemicals.
